My first Namibia’s view had the yellow colour and the spicy taste. From the plane I could see the sand dunes telling me hi. On a strange way, I suddenly felt in home. Namibia gave me a hug. A comfortable warmth hug. I came from Brazil with an open mind and I didn’t expect the impact this place would make in my life. Once, when I had no idea that one day I could visit Africa, I have read about how people of sub-saharan Africa take care of their families. I have wished it. The wind blew my hair and kissed my lips, such sweet cities. Sunlight reflecting in the sea and flamingos walking in pack, a beauty that could be painted. All my friends that I made here taught me lessons for life, surely I’ll keep it in my heart. Honesty, happiness and blessing. That’s what they are and that’s what I want to be. I’m a Brazilian with a Namibian soul.
